There were no state championships in the 2020 season due to the COVID protocols. The year was split into two parts…the regular 2020 fall season and the 2020 (2021) alternate Spring season. WISCONSIN HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PROGRAMS WITH THE MOST WINS AT THE END OF EACH DECADE…1890-2023
Since 1990 Milwaukee Marquette University High School has been the winningest state football program. It was a long road for a school that started playing the sport in 1907 to forge to the top spot. Since 1885, when Delafield St. John’ Military Academy began playing football the school led the state in each decade, for 100+ years. Harry Cochems …Born ion Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin on January 11, 1875. He was the older brother of Eddie Cochems, “The Father of the Forward Pass”.
